What is Purple Day?

Purple Day, celebrated annually on 26 March, is a global event dedicated to raising awareness about epilepsy. Founded by a young girl named Cassidy Megan from Nova Scotia, the day for epilepsy encourages people to wear purple and host events to raise funds and support those living with epilepsy, which ultimately results in more people talking about epilepsy.

Cassidy Megan held the first Purple Day event on March 26 2008, and since then, it has grown into a movement of epilepsy worldwide. Organisations like the Anita Kaufmann Foundation and various epilepsy associations provide fundraising packs and resources to help individuals and communities organise their own events for Purple Day.

By participating in Purple Day on March 26, you can make a real difference in the lives of people with epilepsy and contribute to epilepsy awareness and research.
