The Top Ten priorities were developed following a nationwide consultation process involving the epilepsy community. Of the 5,000 survey responses that were submitted, the largest number came from people living with epilepsy (55% of responses).
The results of the Priority Setting Partnership will enable the epilepsy community to:
- Carry out research that matters most to people affected by epilepsy
- Fund research based on evidenced priorities
- Drive collaborations with associated condition charities
- Generate the evidence needed to influence government and institutional funders to fairly fund epilepsy research
