On Wednesday 27 June, Young Epilepsy welcomed Flight Global (pictured below), the leaders in online aviation data and news. A total of 18 members of their Sales team helped with the weeding across campus, completely transforming some of the gardens students can take full advantage of again.
The following week – on Tuesday 3 July – pharmaceutical giants GSK (pictured above) came in force, making the low-ropes facilities useable again. This time, 50 of their staff came, astounded by the variety of outdoor activities the students can use, and were delighted to make part of it that much more accessible.
A spokesperson for Flight Global has said:
As part of our benefits package we are given two charity days per year. Using one of those days to help Young Epilepsy is great, it not only gives us a chance to bond as a team but to also help such an amazing charity with jobs they don’t get the chance to do. The staff are friendly, welcoming and always join in with the tasks! We had such a good day making the grounds of the school look their best for the children to enjoy and to help such a great school who provide such incredible care. We will definitely be returning next year.
